Jimmy
Monsen began making a name for himself in the mid 70's, playing such
Milwaukee-area
clubs as The Melody Bar and Veterans Park. Through the years,
Jimmy
has been a staple contributor to Milwaukee's polka/variety music scene,
with variety being one of the keys that makes his music so popular and
unique. Jimmy, with his MIDI concertina and his band of top-notch
sidemen, plays a full repertoire of styles in both polka & waltz
music
as well as timeless standards, pop, classic rock, romance, and more.
Jimmy made his first studio recording in 1982, and almost twenty years later to the delight of his fans, released several more on CD. These latest recordings highlight his vocal talent together with his abilty to perform a varied assortment of musical styles. |
