music scene online. The site started as "Milwaukee Polka Music"
in June of 2003, and became "Wisconsin Polka Music" in January of 2005.

designer and creator of WPM, Tom
Brusky, believes that quality internet publicity is a critical step for
the continuation of polka music into the next generation. "Advertising
on polka
radio stations and in polka news publications is necessary, but it
reaches the same, dwindling audience over and over again.
